#TeamCreventive at MaGIC MyAccelerace – The Ultimate Entrepreneurial Challenge

This post is certainly long overdue. But it’s better late than never.

In conjunction with the launch of MaGIC (Malaysian Global Innovation & Creative Centre) on April 26, our #TeamCreventive (Creative + Inventive + Distinctive) made up of lecturer/entrepreneur Farah Izyan and first year Entrepreneurial Design students Kristopher Toon and Sarah Shakeera managed to squeeze into the list of 20 teams of entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs who took part in the MyAccelerace at Cyberjaya.

The race was an exciting 1-day race where 60 participants battled it out with each other over the course of 10 checkpoints and 6 hours of adrenaline-filled fun. The event not only tested the mental and physical mettle of startup and aspiring entrepreneurs, it also mimicked the real-life scenario of the world of entrepreneurship where daily challenges and competition is the norm.

Here are some snapshots taken during the race.

Slow and steady!

Persuasive and selling skills are needed in this race. #TeamCreventive did just fine.

Good pitches will open doors to new customers, investors, partners, endorsements and more.

#TeamCreventive created this t-shirt design by using the required Snaptee app.

At the end of the race, #TeamCreventive produced a video that was shot entirely on smartphone throughout the race.

Although #TeamCreventive did not win the top prizes, it was a great exposure for our first year first semester Entrepreneurial Design students to meet other young entrepreneurs who have the same aspirations as them at such rare event.
